Research Description

In order to realize sustainable development of our economy, it is indispensable to achieve the growth and the innovation of manufacturing industry as the foundation for Japan's competitiveness. Machine tools are playing a vital role because of their ability to produce other machines or as “mother machines”. Advancements in machine tools have contributed to the development of diverse industries ranging from those engaged in manufacturing familiar household products to the aerospace industry. For this reason, the research work is continuously focused on the area of machine tool and machining technology.

About TUAT's tenure-track program

Under the TUAT Tenure Track Program, the appointee is provided with independent laboratory, startup budget and research fund with less duties of administration and lecture. That is an ideal program for young researchers.

Future aspirations

I believe that it is a key responsibility for a university researcher to contribute to human resources development. I will try hard to nurture exceptional engineers by incorporating originality and ingenuity into education.
